Thank OPI for Cleaning Up
After receiving thousands of letters from people like
you, nail polish maker OPI has finally stated in writing that it
will remove toluene from all its products. This follows OPI's
agreement last August to remove dibutyl phthalate—which, like
toluene, is linked to birth defects and fertility problems.
While we're pleased that OPI's new ads proudly state that its
new nail polish color “Contains no DBP, toluene or
formaldehyde,” OPI is still using formaldehyde in some of its
nail hardeners.
Please send your thanks to OPI for removing DBP and toluene from
all of their products…and while you have their attention,
mention that you’d also like them to dump formaldehyde for good.
Send OPI thanks—and one final regret »
